Chinese Steamed Egg Pudding

A classic Chinese dish. It is friendly for toddlers and keto diet people. Super easy.


Ingredients
  • 5 Eggs
  • As Needed Water
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • To Taste Tempura Soy Sauce
Serving: 2 People

Instructions:
Step 1

Crack 5 eggs into a large bowl. Whisk the eggs.

Step 2

Add 1/4 tsp salt. Add water. Water and the egg liquid should be 1:1 ratio. Whisk till water and eggs well blended together.

Step 3

Set the bowl on a steamer. Before closing the steamer lid, cover the bowl with a lid or foil to prevent vapored water dripping into the bowl. After the water is boiling, steam the eggs for 25 minutes.

Step 4

Remove the egg pudding from steamer. Add tempura soy sauce. It is ready to serve. For people who are on keto diet, you can eat like this.

Step 5

For toddlers, you can mix the egg pudding with white rice. To be fancy, you can add some Japanese rice seasoning. My child loves this combination!
